Belgische koopvaardij op 01 jan 2003
De Belgische reders hebben niet lang moeten nadenken
om de Belgische vlag opnieuw te hijsen aan boord van hun zeeschepen.
In een half jaar tijd zijn 77 schepen ingevlagd
vanuit Luxemburg en goedkope landen-vlaggen.
De terugkeer kwam er nadat de regering een fiscaal
gunstiger statuut had ingevoerd.
Het heeft zelfs een nieuwe Belgische reder
opgeleverd.
Momenteel is onze vloot qua tonnemaat groter dan die
van onze buurlanden,Frankrijk,nederland en spanje.Ook heeft Belgié de grootste
dubbelwandige tankers ter wereld varen,ook onze gastanker vloot mag gezien
worden en ook deze is bij de grootste vloot aan LPG en LNG tankers.
Niet tegenstaande hebben wij nog een machtige vloot
aan tonnemaat onder vreemde vlag varen.
